Policy dialogue on youth and agriculture was organized in Kathmandu to discuss the status of agriculture in Nepal and the possible involvement and engagement of youth in agriculture. Scholars and experts of agriculture, representatives Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) and the National Planning Commission made their separate presentations in the policy dialogue and encouraged youth to their active involvement in agriculture. They highlighted the need to make reforms in policy and legal frameworks and formulate new laws as per the federal structure of the country. They also stressed the need to formulate appropriate guidelines, provide incentives and launch special campaigns to attract youth in agriculture and develop youth entrepreneurship.
