The 4-H Nepal IAAS Section is a part of 4-H Nepal based at the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS). This section focuses on engaging students in agricultural, animal science, and leadership activities, following the 4-H model of “Head, Heart, Hands, and Health” for positive youth development. They have been actively engaged in different activities to ensure youth participation. Some of the activities organized by 4-H Nepal IASS are;
Lamjung, Nepal – From Poush 1 to Poush 3, 2080, the 4-H Nepal IAAS section successfully organized a dynamic “Chess and Badminton Tournament,” bringing together a blend of strategy and athleticism. The event showcased exceptional talent, with participants competing enthusiastically across multiple categories.
The tournament, themed “Checkmate on the chessboard, smash on the court – where strategy meets agility,” offered a platform for participants to demonstrate their skills and passion for the games.

Agri Quiz Mania by 4-H Nepal IAAS
Jestha 05, 2081 – 4-H Nepal IAAS chapter hosted the much-awaited “Agri Quiz Mania”, a dynamic event celebrating agricultural knowledge and innovation. Held at Lamjung Campus Hall, the quiz drew participation from aspiring agricultural enthusiasts, students, and professionals, sparking intellectual discussions and fostering camaraderie among participants.
The event featured engaging rounds covering topics such as sustainable farming, agribusiness, climate-smart agriculture, and Nepali agricultural policies. Teams competed fiercely, showcasing their expertise and passion for advancing Nepal’s agricultural landscape.
The winners of this year’s quiz were Amrit Sunar and Arjun Tiwari, with Aayan Shrestha and Aditya Adhikari runner-up team with Sujan Chapagain and Sameer Nepal securing the second position.
4-H Nepal continues to inspire and empower youth by organizing such events, bridging knowledge gaps, and encouraging innovative approaches to modern agriculture.
“Through Light and Companions: A Tale of Tihar by Young Photographers”
During the vibrant celebration of Tihar, the 4-H IAAS Section proudly organized an online photography contest centered around the theme “Festivals of Light and Companions.” Youth from various corners of Nepal enthusiastically participated, showcasing their extraordinary talent and creativity. The contest highlighted diverse perspectives on the beauty of Tihar, capturing the essence of togetherness, lights, and celebration. The event turned out to be a stunning display of artistic photography, leaving everyone inspired by the participants’ remarkable skills and unique interpretations of the theme.
Among the many talented participants, Contestant No. 5, Prashamsa Sharma, emerged as the competition’s winner, impressing everyone with her exceptional photography skills. Congratulations to Prashamsa!
