Lamjung, Nepal – On Jan 6, 2025, the 4-H Nepal IAAS Section, in collaboration with Plant Village Nepal, recently organized a Plant Health Clinic, a significant initiative aimed at addressing agricultural challenges and empowering farmers with practical solutions. This event brought together agricultural experts, students, and local farmers to create a platform for knowledge sharing and problem-solving.
Experts provided hands-on guidance on critical issues such as pest management, crop diseases, and sustainable farming practices. Farmers had the opportunity to present their concerns and receive tailored advice, ensuring the solutions were actionable and impactful. The interactive format of the clinic not only resolved pressing agricultural problems but also fostered a deeper connection between science and community practices.
Students from IAAS played an integral role in facilitating the event, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application. Their active participation highlighted the importance of equipping future agricultural leaders with both theoretical understanding and practical experience. This collaborative effort reinforced the need for community-driven approaches to tackle the evolving challenges in agriculture.
The success of the Plant Health Clinic is a testament to the dedication of 4-H Nepal and its partners to fostering sustainable and resilient farming communities. Organizers expressed gratitude to everyone involved and emphasized their commitment to hosting more initiatives aimed at advancing Nepal’s agricultural sector.
