The 5th Asia 4-H Network Conference was convened in Kathmandu, Nepal, from 23 to 27 November 2025, under the theme “Empowering Sustainable Future Together.” The event brought together 70 participants, youth leaders, educators, climate advocates, and 4-H representatives from Taiwan, Japan, the United States, Jamaica, and Nepal. Over the course of five days, the program sought to advance climate awareness, promote meaningful youth engagement in sustainable development, and reinforce collaborative efforts among Asia’s 4-H networks. Through a combination of formal plenary sessions, knowledge-sharing forums, field observations, and hands-on capacity-building workshops, the conference provided a comprehensive platform for dialogue, learning, and regional partnership-building.
Our Objectives were:
- Promote Climate Action in Asia and Worldwide through the 4-H organization
- Enhance and Promote Youth Leadership for a Greener Asia and World
- Prepare and Pass the Climate Action Plan for 2025 to 2028 for Asian Countries
- Develop Networking and Partnerships with Global Organizations
- Promote and Share Asian Culture
- Explore Green Tourism among Asian Countries
During the five days, Participants attended keynote speeches, country presentations, and workshops on Asia Vision 2040. They discussed food security, plastic reduction, climate-smart agriculture, afforestation, and youth-led green initiatives. We presented the 4-H Global Leadership Visionary Award to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to 4-H at the global level.
Delegates also visited cultural and historical sites, including Boudhanath Stupa, gaining insights into Nepal’s heritage and the value of peace and sustainability.
Overall, the event strengthened international cooperation, exchanged best practices, and enhanced youth commitment to climate action and sustainable development across Asia.
Korea was appointed as the next President of the Asia 4-H Network for 2026-2029 tenure.
