On the occasion of International Youth Day 2025,  Discussion Workshop on Climate Change and its Impact on Youth was held on 25th Shrawan 2082 (August 10, 2025) at Anamnagar, Kathmandu. The program began with an engaging opening session chaired by Ms. Sarada Lama, President of Youth Creative Society Nepal, and hosted by Ms. Rashmi Tamang. The event commenced with the national anthem, followed by a symbolic inauguration led by Honorable Ain Bahadur Shahi Thakuri, Minister of Forests and Environment, who poured water into a pot to represent environmental stewardship and the importance of preserving natural resources.

The workshop featured powerful remarks from key speakers including Mr. Baldev Tamang, President of Labor Environment Center Nepal, and Mr. Lok Raj Awasthi, President of Asia 4H Network, both of whom emphasized the critical role of youth in climate action and sustainable development. Distinguished guests such as Social Worker Sirjana Singh, Dr. Ghanshyam Gurung, and demographer Manu Mishra, Mr. Tilotam Poudel delivered insightful speeches on the health, environmental, and policy-related impacts of climate change. A dedicated youth interaction segment allowed young participants to actively engage in a question and answer session, sharing their views and concerns about climate issues.

The event brought together approximately 70 participants, including youth leaders, students from various colleges, and special guests, creating a vibrant and dynamic atmosphere. Organized by Youth Creative Society Nepal in collaboration with 4-H Nepal and Labor Environment Center Nepal, the workshop successfully raised awareness about climate change and its effects on youth. The outcome of the program was a strengthened understanding of climate challenges and a collective call to advocate for youth-led solutions and policy engagement in environmental protection.
